Cmcago, Feb. 28.—A rather remarkable story came to light last night when seventeen- year-old Annie Jackson was locked up, charged with having robbed her aged foster parents. Eleven years ago, having lost their only child, the Jacksons, who were then living in } York, adopted Annie Mesler, an mn. AS the little one grew up the old people became more fond of her and she was surrounded with every comfort. Four years ago the Jacksons removed to this city. When Annie graduated from school few months ago the parents wished to send her tocollege,but she demurred, saying she would prefer to study dressmaking, 80 that she would know something practical.
