ALL PLEAD GUILTY, The First Dozen Prisoners Arraigned Today in the Police Court. ‘The first dozen prisoners arraigned in the Police Court today on charges of violating the District ordinances plead guilty to the charges against them. Some were fined @5 or 15 days for profanity and disorderly conduct, and others were sent down as vagrants, Among the dozen was Hugh Brown, a painter, and his wife Annie. ‘They had both been before the court before, and they therefore made no request for leniency. ‘The penalty was $5 or 15 days. Josephine Simpson, a small colored girl, was arraigned for disorderly conduct. Although young in years she is old in experience. and even Agent Sweeney's efforts to christianize her were of no avail, She was sent down for two weeks. It was the first session of the tenth an- nual meeting of the Funeral Benefit Asso- ciation of the Junior O. U. A. M.,and delegates were present from all parts of the country.
