A special hearing was accorded by the Dis- trict Commissioners yesterday to Mr. H. W. ‘f. Jenner, one of the owners of property on the line of the proposed extension of T street. Mr. Jenner owns two lots, about one-third of which will be taken if the street is cut through. Mr. Jenner claimed that he never had any knowledge of any hearing and there- fore did not object to the proposed extension. In this way he had not been awarded any dam- ages by the jary for the land taken, although he strenuously objected to donating it to the public. Mr. George Truesdell spoke in favor of the opening of this street and said it was clearly tho duty of the Commissioners, smuch as the improvement was of public benefit, to ask Congress for an additional aj propriation to meet the amount awarded by the second jury.
