Suit Against Treasurer Huston and Others of the Officers. ‘Yesterday a bill in equity was filed by W. T. Davis against James N. Huston, United States treasurer; Charles T. Mount of Conneravill Ind., George Hill Howard and Jacob G. How- ard of this city for a discovery, injunction and for judgment. ‘The complainant states that last April Howard had organized “The Pan- American and International Commission Bi reau, Limited, for Northern, Southern and Central American and Mexican Commercial Manufacturing Development Negotiation and Investment Business;” that the attention of Huston was called to it and he, with Mount, procured the retirement of Howard's partners and in the treasurer's office drew up articles of incorporation, fixing the capital stock at $5, 000,000" in shares, of 2100 cach, ench taking ‘The Standard Cocoa of the World A Substitute for Tea and Coffee. He states that he demanded his scrip, but was told that Mr. Huston was sick and finally in consequence of his sickness Mr. Mount had refwied to have anything more to do with the company, as it had not been in- corporated. ‘On the advice of connsel he demanded the re- turn of the notes and the amount paid and he was told by Howard that it was in the hands of mnocent holder, and it was then agreed } plaintiff should give hix note at four months to the holder of the $5,000 note and it was sur- rendered to him credited with £1,182 and the innocent holder turned out to be Mrs. Howard.
