T. Parker Suing His Late Eme Ployers for $2,000 Damages. Geo. T. Parker, who has recently been be fore the public as the man who shot at Dr, Gastavus Brown at the latter's office as the Piaintiff in a suit for divorce and as the re- pondent in the Phillip Walker Parker habeas corpus case, in which his wife was given the custody of their child, is again in court. Yes terday, through his counsel, Mossrs, T. M. Fields and A. H. Bell, he entered suit against Wallace, jiot & Co, for $2,000 damages. He states he had an agreement with them to act as their traveling and local agont in selling for them boots, shoes, &c., from January 1, 1899, to January 1, 1891, and from the first date to the 6th of September he fuily and faithfully performed his duties and they thereby made great profit, and that he is still ready and wiiling to con- tinue to perform his duties; but on the 6th in- stant they discharged him without cause, by reason of which he has suffered pecuniary Jone and will greatly suffer in his credit and busi ness standing, &c. ———— ALEXANDRIA, Reported for Tre EVEsiNe Stan. Wedder- burn was subsequently taken before Commis- sioner Fowler and bailed in the sum of $1,500 to appear at the next term of the federal court, Councumaxn Execrep.-The election of a member of council from the second ward yes terday closed at sunset and Mr. Lewis Kraft, the democratic nominee, was found to have been chosen without opposition. Mr. Kraft was the only one of those dealers who plead guilty of violating the Sunday law, who de- clined to take the oath not to scllon Sunday, which Judge Norton required, and as a conse- quence has been required to close his saloon for one month.
