TUESDAY, JUNE 10. 1890. AGAIN DEFEATED, Washington Annihilated in Baltimore— Other Games. Up to the ninth inning yesterday the Sena- tors had some sort of a show against the Orioles, the score standing 7 to 4 against the | Statesmen at that point. But just there Pitcher | Daniel weakened, and the other side, by mak- ing ten clean, solid hits, secured nine runs and the game. The final score was 16 to 6, Wash- | ington making two in the ninth. Daniel and | Riddle and German and Townsend were the batteries, For three innings neither side scored, and then, in the fourth, each team made one run, Merrick made a single and @ steal and Gleason an error. Then Hill hit for three bases and scored on Riddle’s sacrifice. After an inning’s rest they went at it again and each side made two more. Baltimore's were made on singles by Sommer, Power and Townsend an error by Bird and a sacrifice. Bird's double hit and batting by O'Brien and Jordan tied the score Baltimore then reaily won the game by making four runs. Long made a single, Mack a double, Ray a single, Werrick a triple and Powers a sacrifice. Wash- ington scored once in this inning.
