At the session of the House last evening Mr. Bingham, of Pennsylvania, callad up the bill granting a pension of $3,500 per annum to the widow of the late Gen. Philip H. Sheridan. Mr. Cheadle, of Indiana, objected. Mr. Bingham then asked that the Dill be made a special order for to- day; but to this Mr. Kilgore, of Texas, objected, declaring frankly that his purpose was to defeat ‘the bill, Mr. ham thereupon withdrew the Dill, and it was allowed to retain its place on the caléndar. Mr. Kligore also raised the point of “no worum” again at the ext bill called up by Mr. ‘aruth, of Kentucky. Mr. Caruth said that the gentieman’s action showed tnat he was not in- spired by that proper motive which ought to in- spire a member of this body.
