To the Editor of Tae EVENING Stan: ‘The meeting of the alleged central republi- can committee that was calied to reorganize last evening was one of the most disgraceful gatherings ever witnessed in this city, and unless something 1s done to prevent such scenes the national com- mittee should deprive the District of representa tion in national conventions. I claim, with those delegates who were Jusuy elected and unjustly thrown out of the committee, that out of sixty- six delegutes and sixty-six alternates there were hot fifteen white repubitcans, Why? Because, When the primary meetings were hela they weré so packed Uhat it made it imposslbie for them to participate, It 13. proy by the people in the twenty-two districts to issue a call for a new central commiitee, which will be repre- sentative in Its character aid which will allow all republicans to givea free expression of thelr Opinions and order a registration of voters in the several districts to elect delegates to a convention, and sald delegates to elect two delegates to the Chicago convenuon.
