Mr. Wor- tbington asked that an early day be fixed for the new trial. Prof. Franz Schaefer, a professional leader, had engaged an orchestra of eight pieces for the occasion, Prof. ‘Schaefer says that about ten minutes before the curtain Was rung up the bass player, named Arndt, refused to play upon the grounds ‘that a part of the orchestra was composed of members of the Georgetown Amateur Orchestra, with whom mem- bers of the Union were not permitted to play. HORRIBLE ACCUSATION AGAINST A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD BOY IN OHIO, At Eaton, Ohio, on Friday, Coroner Jones ren- dered his verdict in the inquest on the body of Mrs. Nancy Beall, who was murdered Monday evening. The verdict is that deceased caine to her death by two pistol shot wounds. The coroner's finding continues: “I further fod that while it seems almost imposstble to conceive that one so young, and especially a son, could commit such an atrocious crime, yet the evidence presented to me and the circumstances surrounding the case are so strong that I feel warranted 1n the crime on John A. Beall.” ‘An aflidavit was then sworn to by Marshal Cor- win before the mayor and a Warrant Issued for the boy's arrest. ‘The verdict seems to meet with gen- eral approbation by the pubitc.
