The great charm f this performance is its beautiful consistency Incegrity in every regard. In no other company Is the assignment of nor the ever-growing interest of the performance so smoothly, beautifully and effectively advanced. The exquisite setting of the [opera adds not “a little to of the representation, as it tlustrates in an unusual manner "the essential spirit. of the gicomy legend. The management of the se mechanical devices and light effects last night is worthy of the highest praise, and received | from the audience from time to time generous inanyfestations of approval. ‘The work of nearly TY meuber of the cast last night showed the | same rare merit which last year won such un- | sUnted pratse. sis Juch’s Senta ls an ly yactftl Lin ion, not, of to the first rank vocally, but otherwise so sweet and winning, and sung with such even excellence, that the lack of the very highest vocal power! for- | gotten.
