Yesterday afternoon after Coroner Patterson and Dr, Hurtigun had made a post mortem ex- amination of the body of Gottielb Cheese, alius Frederick Sheeve, the old man in the chain gang who died from the effects of a wound on the head inflicted by a brick thrown by An- drew White, a: colored member of the chain gang, the police ot the fifth precinct summoned the ‘following jury of Inquost: William Skelley, George H. Betters (colored), William , Ken- nedy, Francis K. O'Brien, Richard Horne, and Wiliam Mangan. ‘Lhe Jury wus sworn in by the coroner, and after viewing the body at the Washington ssylum, the inquest was adjourn- ed until 21 o'cloek this inorning, at which hour they met at the fiith preciuct station.
