Kelley, the butcher, which was sworn out by Agent Key, of the Humane society, charging Mr. Kelley with cruelty to animals, it belng alleged that he caused a horse to be cruelly overdriven. Mr. Key states that Mr. Kelley was one of the judges at the trotting races at Ivy City last riday,When a Lore owned by George H. Hess trotted’ against one owned by aman named Schnapp; that Mr. Hess did not want to trot his horse that day on account of his condition and the weather, but could not get out be- cause he had already entered into an agree- ment. Mr. Key says that during the race Mr, Hess did not drive bis horse fast enough, and Kelley complained.
