CONSIDERING NEW LAWS FOR THE DISTRICT. The Bar association yesterday afternoon agreed to recommend to Congress the passage ofa bill taken from the Maryland code making illegitimate children competent to inherit both real and personal estate from their mother, or from each other, or from the descendants of ch other, in like manner as if born in wed- lock. A motion by District Attorney Worthing- ton io ‘notify Congress that the association de- sires to have the laws of the District compiled was carried. ‘The committee on legislation was instructed to examine various bills pending af- fecting legal and judicial procedure in the Dis- trict. “A report of the committee on a schedule of fees was adopted. —— Base Ball in Washington. President Young, of this city, called the meeting to order. The Washington and neas City teams were formally admitted te the league.
