WHAT INSPECTOR ENTWISLE SAYS OF THE PROS- PECTS. There does not seem to be the same activity in house-building in this District as there was this time last year. This 1s due in part, proba- biy, tothe severer weather. Building Inspector Entwisle stated to-day toa STAR reporter that there is nothing like the preparation for build- ing as there was last year, especially for small houses containing from four to seven rooms. The inspector states that he believes, from ob- servation, that there will be more good houses than cheap ones, The increase of houses last year such as the Inspector describes amounted to about 1,200, which rather overdid the neces- sities of the case. Now a better class of dwell- ings is wanted, and they will be built. New builders and atchitects have come here to ia- vest thelr money, and are looking at the build- ing regulations ahd plunibing regulations. es Alexan Affairs. Reported for THs EVENING STAR.
