Yesterday, Officer Richard Jones, of the third Precinct, reported to Lieut, Redway that Mr. James A, Donaldson had informed him of the finding of some human bones while he was gun- ning in a dense grove of timber and under- growth on the old Carroll property, about 1% miles northeast of Tenleytown. Lieut. Redway and Officer Jones went out to investigate, and found the bones entirely denuded of flesh. Some clothing and the skull were lying about ten feet from the rest of the body. The hair, which had fallen off the skull, was of a dark brown color, soft and glossy, The remains are Supposed tb have been those of an between twenty-five and thirty-five years, | but there were no signs of violence on the skull or other Indications of foul play. ‘The punts and vests found beside the remains were of dark, striped goods of fine quality. The shirt was found about thirty yards from the other clothing.
