About half-past two o'clock this morning Off- cer Turnburke discovered a white man at the corner of 443 street and Virginia avenue appa- rently bent on suicide by throwing himself on the railroad track in front of a freight train then approaching and within a few yards of him. The flagman at the crossing and the offi- cer both prevented him, and the officer placed him under arrest, taking him to the first pre- cinct station. He gave his name as Robert 8.
