Ward, charged with constructing a cupola on the roof of his dairy Dutiding, at 929 D street northwest, in violation of the building regulations, was called for trial in the Police Court this morning. Mr. James E. Padgett appeared for the District, and Messrs. Norris and Cahill for the defendant. Building Inspector Ent served notice on Mr. Ward missioners sustained witness. “They are very competent judges,” said Mr. Nor- ris. Witness, being cross-examined, said he gave berm to erect a building 9 feet high, but this was feet.
