IMPRESSIVE SERVICES HELD YESTERDAY—THE NEW EDIFICE BLESSED BY THE ARCHBISHOP. ‘St. Patrick's church, on 10th street, near G, was formaily consecrated yeaterday morning, with im- pressive ceremonies, by Right Rev. James Gibbons, archbishop of Baltimore. The edifice was with spectators... The services consisted of the ded- leacory rites and solemn high mass. At the hour Appointed the procession, headed by the cross ‘bearer, moved from the sacristy of the church, and, two by two, proceeded down the center aisle. The | archbishop "was fattended by Father Magmen, of Baltimore, and Father Chappelle, of St. Matthew's church, of this city, as deacons of honor, while | Bishop Keane was attended by Father Murphy, of | St. Aloysius, and Father Coll,of St. Dominic's; Father Walter, of St. Patrick's; Fatner Ryan, of the Immaculate C+ ion; Fathers Doonan, Don- ohnue, Thomas, De Starr, 0’ ivan, Mackin and other cle1 art in the cere= mony. At the door of the edifice the procession haited, while the archbishop offered prayer. ‘The procession then issued out of the door and marched around the edifice, the clergy chanting the “Mis- erere” and sprinkling the walls with holy water.
