Offerings in hay and straw are liberal, and prices have not changed. Good butter ts in better demand and higher, Creameries and New York fine dairies are up. Western butters are reported to be run- ning very poor and not wanted. It ts rumored that there are oleomargarine and other imitations creeping Into our markets. Some few good Samples of roll butter are sellin, but it is scarce and will be until cooler weather. Eggs are scarce: and in fair demand at % cents per dozen, In large lots. The cheese market holds its own as to price, no change being noted except a growing demand for the Dest grades. Cabbages are plentiful, and reasonable tn prices, running from $4 to $8 per hundred. Green corn holds out well; some of the best of the season can be purchase’ at this time. Onions are very fair in quuity and reason- able in price—the average belug $2.50 per barrel. ‘The markets are ste ty for all kihds of dried fruits, and there is no difficultp In making sales of any KAT FRUITS AND ORANGES. Green fruits hold out well and find ready sales, especially flne cooking and eating apples, peaches and grapes.
