P. Agnew for the lease and transfer of the yard. Mr. Ottman, of Wash- ington, made considerable investments in the stock of this company. MILITARY PaRape.—The Alexandria Light In- fantry appeared on dress parade this afternoon to open their fair, which begins to-night. Frour Insrection.—During the first. quarter of 1888, ending March 31, 6,880 barrels of flour were inspected here. This ‘ts a slight decrease on the inspection of the March quarter last year, when 6,718 barrels were inspected. During the same quarter of 1861, just previous to the war, 22,811 barrels were Inspected. | This was the last'report before the blockade was declared. THE MANUFACTURING ComPANY.—The new Alex- andrla M. M. & W. Company, which was ofganized last Saturday, ls now collecting the first assess- ment of 1ta stock.
