Yesterday was as quiet In camp as if a continu ous collection was being taken up. Few visitors came, and the resident campers seemed more in- clined to rest than to attend service. This fact became so noticeable that an enforcement of the rule compelling attendance at the services was resorted to, and the by-ways and hedges were searched, and, according to scriptural doctrine, all found were constrained to come in. They took it good naturediy, however, and felt repaid by the interesting and varied program of the day. On fourth avenue Thursday night a little child fell out of bed, and when missed was looked far al! over the place, and at last found feet upwards be- tween the bed ani tent wall—utterly unable to ery. Fortunately the little one was not seriously injured—and was more frightened than hurt. SUDDEN DEATH, The Rev. Mr. Henderson, of the Presbyterion church at Melsville, in this county, died Thursday night very suddenly. The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon, and will be a large one, as he was greatly esteemed. He was the father of State Attorney J, B. Henderson, of this county. A little excitement was occasioned yesterday by its being erroneously reported that a Mr. Nichols Was missing. He was tn camp Thursday, and was known to have a considerable sum of money on his person, PREPARING FOR SUNDAY. ‘The boarding booths keepers expecting to reap A harvest—not of souls, but shekels—are making extensive preparations to feed the hungry that will come here Sunday, as it 1s expected the number will be even larger than last Sunday. Mr. Willams has had tables placed on the portico on the east side of the hotel where he will furnish dinners from 12 o'clock, while the large dining room will be thrown open at 1.80 p.m., after the ular boarders are served. A pedlar visited camp yesterday, but before he displayed his wares he made up fis mind he had got into the wrong pew, and left without giving to inspect and trade with him.
