RAINY WEATHER NO DRAWBACK. Special Correspondence of Tar EVENING STAR. JACKSON GROVE, ANNE ARUNDEL Co., via August 4 Yesterday the weather continued unfavorable to the ful enjoyment of camp life, rain falling at in- tervals during the day and night. To-day opened with skies of leaden hue. Owing to the topogra- phy of the ground and the nature of the soil the tenters suffer but little inconvenience unless the rain ts actually falling, for the water runs off or into the soll, leaving on the surface scarcely enough motsture to wet the sole of ashoa. No doubt persons living in the cities are sympathizing with the unfortunate tenters, who, they suppose, have Deen drowned out; but if they cotld see some of the young ladles promenading between the showers attired In lawn dresses they would feel that such sympathy was thrown away.
