Docket, the youthful colored horse thief who was arrested in Maryland 2 day or two ago for the larceny of a horse in this city on the 18th of last month, from Loutsa St. John, a gipsy, was in the dock at the Police Court this morning, charged with larceny. He said he was only ten years old the day he was arrested. He fearlessly pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing the horse, and took his sentence of six months in jail with as much nonchalance as an old offender. “Prosecuting Attorney Moore told the court that he refrained from prosecuting the prisoner for the more grave charge of grand lar- ceny, or horse-stealtng, on account of his exttene youth, and only asked for the maximum sentence for petit larceny, The court sald that as the re- form school was full, and the boy had no parents who seemed to exerelse any control over him, not- withstanding hig youth, the fall would be as good lave for him for the next six months as any other place.
