Yesterday, Judge Court, a decree of divorce in Pfeil against Rudolph Pfeil. Were married in October, 1877, keeping on a farm owned by defendant's father, whom were, for seven months, that In April, 1878, he deserted her till December, and after living with her again for two months finally left he also made a similar decree in the Judge Hagns case of Martha Paul against Robert Paul. They Were married at Orange C. H., Va., April 12, 1861 and she charged that he became a FRE and in February, 1880, willfully deserted her. Tt was mentioned in yesterday's Stan that Alice D. Read had filed a bill for a divorce from George Beale Read, charging him with drunkenness and ii-treatment of her, and stating that chai have been preferred against him in the United States army of conduct unbecoming an officer, and that Pending the trial of them he as tendered his reslg- nation as ieutenant in the army. She sets forth that they were married April 22, 1872, by Rev. W. Harris, and she charzes that in'the early patt of 1874 he commenced drinking, and in November 0: that year, at Fort Lyon, Colorado, he kicked her, making her tI; that he ‘rollowed up this course o treatment, threatening to Kil her, and on March 18th, last, his comminding officer, Gen. Smith, tnreatened to prefer charges against him, and hé did not ill treat her again ull April 26th, when he assaulted her fn the pubite strects of Brownsville, ‘Texas, and from that time till June 6th he abused her and the children, and on the latter date he as- satilted and was beating his ttle daughter Alice in a most violent and brutal manner, when com- piainant rushed in and seizing the child attempted toescape. The defendant slammed the door, catch- ing her foot and a part of her dress in it. With the ald of the servant she released her foot, but had to leave her dyess and run with the child to the neighbors. At this time Gen.
