They were married in Baltimore, July 11th, 1867, by Rev. H. A. Wise, devendant’s name belng Hodye, and he charged that after living together tilt October, 1876, detend- ant then deserted him. He asked the custody of the child, charging that defendant having become addicted to intemperance and having been scan- dalously intimate with a man in this city, is nota fit person to have charge of sald child. Plaintiff by the decree Is given custody of the chi L. C, Williamson to-day filed for Mary A. Ray, a bill for a divorce from the bonds of Matrimony with Wm. A. Ray. She states that they were mar- ried January 3, 1858, by Rev. F. 8. Evans in this elty; that they have Uuree children now in the Women’s Christian Association Home School, where she placed them to prevent defendant from stealing them; that she pays their board by sew- ing; and that defendant 1s an habitual drunkard, and has been such since 1872; that he has treated her with great cruelty and has failed to support her.
