RAILROAD SALE PostroneD.—The re-sale of the v ton and Ohio road, fixed for to-day, was postponed by order of Judge Welford, of the Rich- mond circuit court, under whose decree the sale was to be made. The former bidders, the Cincin- neti and Western Railroad Company, patd $6,500 into the court on their bid of $592,000 made on the 31st of January last, and thereupon Judge Welford tmhade the order postponing the sale for ten days. Service and others, under, as they say, the assurance that the school board lot had been ‘sold upon condition that dwelling-houses should be built thereon, was presented. “This led to long de- bates in each board. It was finally shown that the order on which the committee on public property acted Imited {ts right to purchase to the square between King and Cameron streets, while the lot bought is between Cameron and Queen streets. ‘Thereupon, at alate hour of the night, an order was made directing the committee to find another lot and report to couneil before purchase.
