Whitehand has made for the ladies of the Christ- fan church, an elegant solid silver plate, which will be placed on the pew of the late President Garfield, in that edifice, this afternoon. The plate 1s perfectly plain, in the shape of a shield and is inseribed “James A. Garfield. Born Nov. 19, 1831.
