Tue Suxpay Law.—Although under Judge Keito’s decision the city Sunday tsconfined within a narrow limit it bas become a source of consid- erable revenue to the city treasury, for if the fines imposed lately continue to be imposed each week they will amount to a sum equal to one-half of the Mcense tax, and will pay the salaries of all city Officials, Regularly upon Monday morning has one of the leading saloon keepers contributed $10 to the elty treasury. A popular confectioner adds $2 each week to the public fund. Yesterday nearly $60 was gotten in fines. The Sunday law has, however, produced little effect upon Sunday observance.
