This question came before the mayor at 11 o'clock to-day in a case against Mr. Dyer for selling fish outside of market. The case was argued by Corporation Attorney Kember and Mr. L. Marbury. The President's condition last evening was better than on any previous evening of his illness. He first got to sleep about 10 o'clock. The doctors continued during the evening to give the most hopeful assurances to the members of the Cabinet and the few others who called. EX-SENATOR CONKLING CALLS AT THE WHITE HOUSE. About 8 o’clock last evening ex-Senator Conkling walked up tothe door of the White House. He did not go up stairs.
