CAPT. BENRY ENTERS UPON HIS DUTIES. Capt. Henry, appointed U. S. marshal for tho District of Columbia, and yesterday confirmed a8 such by the Senate, appeared at the City Hall this morning, presented his commission to Chief Justice Cartter, took the oath of office, — d bis bond and entered upon hls duites. apt. On Judge Pardee’s commission the number ‘42° was written, signifying the same. Accompanied by Col. Corkhiil, the District attorney, Capt. Henry, on bis arrival at the City Hall, procee: ed fo the judges’ consultation room and met there the Chlef Justice and Judge James, and at the hands of the former took the oath of office.
