For the purpose of adding tomy stock of information, I called on the writer of the above letter at her residence. Bhe said -‘st. Jacobs Oil” had worked wonders in her caso, and | she really gave her testimony to its merita, in order that other sufferers might profit by its useas skehaddone. I next caliedon Mrs. Mary Neff, who keeps a large dry goods and trimming | store, No. 2058 Ridge avenue. Mrs. Neff said she considered St. Jacobs Oil the surest, best and quickest remedy for rheumatism thst can be found anywhere. Sbehad experienced the most aston- ichipg results from the use of it. This lady said she had been agreat sufferer from Rheumatism, and had undergone both allopathic and homeo- pathic treatment without obtaining any relief, aud had tried various remedies recommended to her, untilshe got tired of it. Last fall, however, she bad a terrible attack ef the disease in her rizht shoulder, and it was so violent that she lost, tem- porarily, the use of herrightarm. She reluctantly consented to try ‘‘#t. Jacobs Vil;" the effect was almost magical. fhe was greatly relieved after two or three applications of the Oi), and before half a bottle had been used the rheumatism in her shoulder had entirely disappeared, and has not returned since. Major T. A. Hillier resides at No. 2235 Master street. I knew the Major had been ajfllicted with rhevmatiem, but did not know that his was 8 sertous cage until I called on him. I reached his residence directly after supper, and found the Major sitting in anarm chair in the back parior, reading. I apologized for my intrusion, and came ‘at once to the subject I was most iaterested in and said: Major, I hear that you have been suffering terribly with rheumatism, and found specdy and permanent relief by the use of Bt. Jacobt Oil; now isthattrue or not? Answer—It is true, most de- cidediy. I was compictely prostrate with rheuma- tam, and 8t- Sacobs Oi! has cured me almost en titely. Question—How much of the Oll did you use? Answer—Well, Ihave not quite finished one bottle yet, but Iam so much better that I don’t know whether I will require another one. Ques tion—When were you first attacked with rheums- tism, and how did it affect you’ Answer—The complaint first took hold of me last March, and suffered greatly. Ihad scarcely any use of my legs, arms or hands for months. My fisgers were drawn up #0 that I could not write, and while IT was unable to move about, I could not He still in bed 1 remained in bed for several weeks at a time, and had good medicalattendance, but could get no relicf. I then tried a noted liniment, but it barned or stang me 80 that I could not use it, and its odor was very offen- sive. Question.—When did you get relief? An- swer.—I obtained a bottle of St. Jacobs Oil about two weeks ago, and got relief as soon as I com- menced to useit. Iam now able to go out and at- tend to my busineés as well as any man can whois over three-quarters of aceatury old. I can write with freedom, and feel first rate ail ovér, and St. Jacobs Oil did italifor me. Question.—You advo- cate the Gilthen? Answer.—I think from my own experience that St. Jacobs Oil is the best remedy for rheumatism ever disesvered. Had J known of the presence of the Qillast March or before Beem I might have saved myself many months of bol pain and heavy doctor's bills. Me. Reuben Tarner resides at No. 1230 Carlton street, and is well and favorably known in this city. Hearing that his wife bad been cured of a most malignant attack of rheumatism by the use of St. Jacobs Oil, I called at his residence to find ont the pariiculars I found Mr. and Mrs. Turner sitting down to teain the dining-room, and this ‘was a novelty for Mrs. Turner, for she had been confined to her bed with imfammatory rheuma- tism since the 24th of last ‘August, and bad not been able to leave it until she commenced using **st. Jacobs Oil,” a few days since. Mr. Tarner, in the presence of his wife, informed me that she had been a terrible sufferer. Both of her lega had swollen to almost elephaatine proportioas, and her pain was so great that she had seven spasms nicht after night. A physician, whose ekill is famous, did her bat little good. When firet attacked, Mi Turner weighed 160 pounds, but when sas com- menced using St. Jacobs Oil she weiched but 100 pounds. Iwas told that she experisnced relicf at the first application of ths Oil, and before she had used half a bottle she was able to come down stairs by the use of a stick. When I saw her she was ableto move sbout with entire fresdom, and the swelling in her legs, she eaid, was nearly allgene. Mrs. Turner attributes her remarkable recovery to Bt. Jacobs Oil, and she says she thinks itis the most wonderful remedy ever discovered. Mr. Turner also informed me that.bia daughter Annie E. Turner, aged six years, had very severe pains in the back of her neck, the result of a fall. He rubbed it with St Jacobs Oil, and the pain dis- appeared almost at once, and has pot returned since. Chief of Police of Philadelphia, Ps, Sam- uel H, Given, esq., sayahe used Bt. Jacobs Oilin his family for various painfal ailments with excel- lent results. He has also heard from masy who have used it for rheumatism, that it alone of al! remedies id them good. When it is ‘that the special adaptation and potency of any sub- stance to cure disease have been so unquestionably demonstrated as have besn the virtues of St Jacobs Oil, it is not surprising, but perfectly natural, thet the fullest measure of popular confidence should be awarded it.—New York Daily. it NO REASONABLE OFFER ii ahidcanneamaeate cama STOCK OF FORFEITED PLEDGES, FINE DIAMONDS, Ladies and Gentes ngOLD WATUHMS and FINE JEWELRY.
