The enly new feature was & new Choir, under the jeadership of Miss Stahl Dr. Deale preached from the words, “* Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith. Accidentally Shot Dead. SAD FATE OF YOUNG HEIBERGE, Adam E. Hetberger, a student at the Agricul- tural College, near Bladensburg, Md., and a son. of Mr. F. J. Helberger, the well-known mer- chant tailor in this city, accidentally shot and Killed himself last Saturday, He was out for the purpose of shooting robins, and had em- Ployed a blacksmith near the college to repair 4 spring to bis gun lock. In drawing out his yur-€ to pay for the repairs his gun, wolch was loaded, slipped, the hammer striking a bench, exploding the charge, which took effect tn ot3 left side. He tried to reach tie colleges, but fell on the way, faint with loss of blood. Some of the faculty and a few of his compantons came quickly to his ald and took him to the colleze, where everything possible was done for him, without avail, and he died in less than an hour after the accident. His remains were after- wards removed to the residence of bis father, corner of 2d and D streets northwest, ta this cy. This sad accident has caused great dis tress not only to the family of Mr. H. but to a large Crcle of personal friends of the youth, A Concert Without Singing. Interesting services were held yesterday at- ternoon in the beauttul chapel of the National Dest and Mute College at Kendall Green. Tne Occasion was the monthly Sabbath-school con- cert. There was, of course, no singing, but a Well-coucerted system of ‘exercises, bearing upon the one topic, Redemption, tnciuding the Teuitatien by signs of several hymns, quire as touching to the sensibilities as if they nad peea sung. President Gallaudet interpreted most of the exercises to the hearing visitors, who, with the professors’ famiMes and students, quite filed the spacious apartment. In conclusion, he called for remarks; and the clostng prayer and benediction from Rev.
