Confidence in the New Administra- tion—An oo. mney Market and Strong Stock Market. New Yorg, March 7.—The Post financial arti- cle says: The week opened in Wall street with the confident opinion on all sides that the morey market is to be easy. This opinion ts founded on the belief that the new Secretary of ‘Treasury will err rather on the side of expan- sion than the reverse. The report that Mr. Windom received the support of ex-Secretary Sherman for the position of the chiet omcer of the ury. 1s construed as an indica- tion that the policy of the Treasury will not be widely different from what it has ‘0. AS the recent disturbance in the stock exchange markets was caused by the money stringency and the fear of its con- tiauance, itis patural that when that {s re- moved there should be a change in the conrse of prices, whicn are dependent to a large extent on the money market.
