SCENES ON THE CLOSING DAY—THE FAIR A SUC ‘The second national fair closes this afternoon at the conclusion of the grand ladies two-mile dash, which will no doubt prove an attractive and exciting feature, Up to noon to day about 40,000 people in ali had entered the groands, The largest attendance was on St. Julien’s day, when there were over 15,000 present. “Finan- cially as well as !n other ways,” remarked Mr. W.H.
