Xo GLUCOSE. The Effect This Modern Articte of Commerce is Likely to Have Upon the Community, How Adulterations in Sugar Act Upon the Certain Truths Regarding Delicate Portions of the Body Which are not Generally Known, How They Are Disordered and How Controlled. Every body is talking about eincose, the new ele- ment which fPeing used in sugar; and. indeed, in so important a matter as the sugar we consume it is only natural that people should talk. Sugar in its Ture state is a valuable nourishment to the human system, but when adulterated by tiltettng throug bone dust, or by the mixture of other matter, in- stead.of nourishing, it then irritates the kidneys and other parts of the body. The relation between the kidneys and adulterated sugar is that of open hostility. Indeed, it acts like a virulent poison upen those delicatemembers, and produces Bright's dis- eee (Albuminuria) sooner than any known cause. For this reason many persons use browa sugar en- tirely, realizing the delicacy of the kidneys, and the necessity of avoiding any irritation. But, notwith- standing this care, kidney difficulties are the most universal complaint of the present day. They are caused by impure sugars, by colds, by over-exer- tion, by indigestion, and by nervous exaust'on. Those who have kidney troubles seidom know it, as their mantfeetationa are headaches, pains in tho joints, great wearinesr, and loss of appetite. On this account they are all the more danserous, and require attention as soon as any of the symptoms are observed. ‘The difficulty hasalways been in the past toknuow what to do for diseased kidneys, and, until recently, they have been considered incurable. A pure veget- able extract, however, Warner’s Safe Kidney and Liver Cure, has been thoroughly tested, and proven toinstantly relieve all minor troubles, and certainly cure all seated kidney diseases, whether they arise from colds, exhaustion, indigestion or bad sugars. Glucose has not been shown to be an absolutely in- jurions element in the preparation of sugar, but that adulterated sugars are a danverous element when brought % contact with the kidneys has been proyen beyond a doubt, while no discovery of mod- erm times seemé so entirely adapted to nourish and stimulate the kidneys as the remedy above mention- ed. Itacts directly upon those parts and upon no others. It stimulates and at the same time nour- ishes. Warner's Safe Kidney and Liver cure has, therefore, become a standard article of household use and is sgjd by drugwists universally. At all seasons of the year and under all circumstances it isaremedy which should be kept on hand, for where such seriousinterests are at stake, it becomes invaluable. aplo CITY ITEMS. 5 To 20 Minvrgs Is the time for Loditte's Head. ache Specific to eure headache, SPORTSMEN AND TOURISTS.—Garabalili's blouses; hunting, tse, swimming and bathing suits.
