BARBERS’ SUNDAY LAW. ‘The communication from the barbers on Penn- sylvania avenue to the District Commissioners in relation to the reported decision of the Dis- triet Supreme Court upon the unconstitution- ality of the ordinance closing the barber shops Sundays having been referred to Attorney Riddle, he to-day recurned the same to the Dis- | triet Commissioners with the statement that “the court has not made the decision reported. Judge Wylie intimated that on a proper c made he would so decide. In view of the facts and the conflicting wishes of the barbers them- selves, and that the question may be more fully considered, I have directed that a proper case be made, so that this question may be passed on fully. Meantime the barbers must act as they may be advised till the ease ts disposed of.” SANITARY INSPECTION. ‘The communication of Hon. J. A. Bently, Commissioner of Pensions, to the District.
