JUMPS FROM A RAILROAD TRAIN WRICK TE MS GOING THIRTY MILES AN HOUR. Passengers who arrived here on the train which left Cincinnati by the B. & O. R. R. Sat- urday night at 9:15 state that the prisoner Charles Goodman, who jumped the authorities re a year or so ago, but who was arrested in Cincinnati last week, was on the train in arge of three officers. He was handeuffed. but when near Harper's Ferry he complained that the irons eut his arms, and at his urgent | request they were removed. The guard dropped asleep. an@ Goodman, taking advant- age of this fact, got up and went to the door and jumped off the train while [uwas running thirty miles an hour, and escaped.
