On the 224 of January last the fol- lowing resolution was received from the Senate: Resolved by the Senate, (the House of Repre- sentatives concurring ) That the joint rules of the Senate and House of Representatives in force at the close of the last session of Con- gress, except the 22d joint rule, be, and the same are hereby, adopted as the joint rules of the two houses for the present session. On the 2d of February the said resolution was taken from the Speaker's table by ‘unanimous consent, and referred to the Com- mittee on Rules, and not reported theretrom.
