The defendant, in his answer, ad- mitted the making of the note, but urged in defence to the claim thereunder tat he had been Induced to give it on false representa- tons made by the plaintiff. He claimed that the latter had represented that he was indebted to the amouat of $1,000 on certain stocks. This amount was arrived at, he insists, by guessing, and not by auy proper accounting. He also states thai he was not | 50 indebted. The plaintiff moved to have this answer made more defiaite and certain, and Judge Goepp granted the motion yester- day, requiring the defendant to state when ana where the representations were made, what those representations were, when tuey were first discovered, and what be claims is the truth of the matter.
