EW York, July7.—The case of Joseph Loader, charged with perjury and conspira- | cy in the Tilton-Beecher case, came up in Brooklyn to-lay before the police justices | court. “Loader, his accomplice and accuser, | John J. Price, and ex-Judge 8. D. Morris, | were among the persons in court. Mr. B. F. | Tracy, Alderman Whitney and other friends of Mr. Beecher, were in the justices’ private | room. Among the spectators were many | faces’ familiar to those who attended the Tilton-Beecher trial. Moulton entered the court, but went away in a few minutes. Mr. Beecher was then called as a witness at the request of the district attorney. He looked over the affidavit of Loader, and was asked if any statements in the aitidavit referring to him and Mr were true in fact: Beecher replied: is nothing that 1s true there alleged.” He was then asked to read the affidavit made by Price In connec- tion with Loader.
