Of this $460,556.53 had been paid from bonds sold; $79,427.44 by the firm individ- wally; and £5°0.405 13 was owing of floating debts, some of which was secured by chattel mortgages. The cause of the failure seems to bave been mainly from bad extravagant man- agement.
