The jesmaids—Miss Fox, daughter ae and Miss Lydia Kichardson— were elegantly attired, the bride having a trail- ing veil, up with orange blossoms, failing over a rich dress of white satin. It is now re- ported that about the close of the ceremony « cariiage contetming a womar and two children drove up to the ci woman in vain endeavored to gain access to the church. She londiy prociai tnat she was the lawful wife of William A. Parke, and that the ‘wo children with ber were his children. Fail ing in her efforts to enter the charch, she waited until the marriage cortege came outsite When the new bride bad entered her carriage, she forced her way to the door, and “Do you know whom yon have married? in reply to her own auesion, You have mar ried my busband.? She was quickly forced away, but on entering ber own carriage toleave the place, exclaimed, ‘You will hear from me again.” Mr. Wm. A. Parke and his new-made bride secon afterward left on their wedding tcur. There is a rumor that the affair has since been compromised, and that the woman will give the happy pair no further trouble, but upon what basis the alleged compromiss his been effected is not known, and the rumor it- self cannot be traced to any authentic source. In explanation of the failure to enter the church doring the ceremony, it is said that her visit was fully expected, and that in conse, aence private detectives, employed by Mr. William A. Parke, kept watch at the entrances. —Nrw Fork mes, 1 MYSTERIOUS ASSASSINATION IX BaRoox- LYN.— Brooklyn had a new sensation Thursday. About # o’clock Wednesday night a man was seen to stagger across Bedford avenue, at the intersection of Hayward street, and people near by, on going to see what was the matter, dis- covered that he wasdying from the result of several terrible wounds, m the blood was rapidly flowing. There was a deep gash across his throat, and the end of his nose was nearly cut off. The wounded man was conveyed to the nearest station-house, and died a few min utes afterwards. The only intelligible words that escaped him were, ‘ew York, Italian, Sth street.” In his pocket was found $25.35 in in money, and on his fingers were two rings, one plain gold, the other amethyst, the latter with the initials, “* M.St.G.’"’ Some 200 feet from where the man was found a sword cane was discovered. The general opinion is that the man had a severe straggie with his assassin opposite some vacant lots in Bedford avenue, and that after receiving his mortal wounds be staggered to the place where he was discovered. The police of both Brookiyn and New York are leaving no stone unturned to discover the murderer or murderers. A late dispatch says the victim was an Italian brusbmaker, Saivador Tarini. Twenty wounds were found on bis body. His money and. val- nables were not taken. Tarint’s landlady stated to the coroner that Tarini was attentive to Mrs. St. George, the wife of another boarder.
