Myers, on Massachusetts avenue, between 4th and 5th streets, had a vial of landanam with which to allay the toothache, and set it on the mantelpiece. Mr. Myers cautioned her about placing it there, as her (the servant's) child might get hold of it. Snosequently the cbild, about fifteen months old, reached it by climbing on a chair, and drank tt. The mother, on discovering it, took the child to her hore, between S and T and 6th and 7th streets, and Dr. Mauss was called in, but too late to save it, end it died this morning about 7 o'clock.
