THE REVISED CODE. The chapter was amended by providing that the registrations shall take place biennially; that the tickets shall be on plain white paper, &c. It is represented that @ conspiracy was entered into by some of the hands to inflict corporal punish- ment uponone H. L. Weeks, and while some engaged in the attempt the others prevented any interference on the part of the overseers, and by this arrangement bad things all theit own way. This morning Dr. Nichols dispatched one of his overseers, Edward LeBarnes, to this city to obtain warrants for the arrest of Moses Smith, Marshal Hawkins, George Hill, John H. Hill and Robert Hill. The warrant was placed in the hands of Ofi- cer Arnold, who arrested the men named and brought them before Judge Snell at 2 o’olock to-day. pleaded not guilty.
