East ALEXANDRIA RaiLRoap.—The East Alexandria railroad is progressing rapidly to- wards completion; seven hundred men are now at work upoa it, and on Saturday last the work had boen advanced from Bladensburg as far as Giesboro’, 19 which point construction trains were running. The whole road will be com- pleted and in running order, it is expected, within three weeks from this date. When fin: ished the southern mail boat will stop at Mar- bury’s point, opposite this city, its western terminus, for the accommodation of such pas- sengers as may not desire to go through Wash- ington. It is understood, too, that when travel by the new route is opened, the B. & O. R.
