There can be no doubt that a quiet revolution is taking place in regard | to the e: rgement of woman's sphere in certain directions. It may be many a long day before women obtain the right of suffrage, but the time is fast approaching when certain positions now barred to them, on account of their sex, will be thrown open, and the principle generally recog- pized that they shal! have equal compensation with males for doing the same work. -see- The Baltimore ican fears that there will bea reaction in favor of the whipping post in Delaware after the sheriff of Newcastle county finishes to-day’s work.
