Mr. William Lake, of Wash- ington, ow studying at Milan, bids fair torival Santley, and Edward Daunreuther, the found- erand conductor of the “Wagner Society” in Loudon, and whose recent lectures before the yal Institution have excited so mach interest is a native of Cincinnati. Not only in profes- sional life does American talent show itself. Many American amatear musicians, both vocal and instrumental, abroad have attracted great attention and received high compliments.
