Some of the witnesses yet to come are expected to give the most im- portant testimony. The great feature of Sat- urday’s proceedings is the decision of the court to allow evidence to be given in regard to the alleged insurance plot, to show a motive for the murder. This will bi up the whole York affair near Baltimore, in which Udderzook figured as an important witness, and show whether that Occurrence was a farce or a tragedy, and in effect to try the prisoner for perjury as well as murder.
