It takes a practiced eye to detect the distant wanderer among the little stars around him.—Proridence Journal. Tar Besper Mcrpers. cide of Minon.— By letters and through the medium of one of our exchanges, we have received some more in- formation concerning the last reported act the great tragedy of southern Kansas—the » icide of Nicholas Minon. The people have be- come interested to know what were the confes- sions made by him, which the telegraph so dimly hinted at. The story as reported is that be admitted that he went south with the Bender y soon after murders in Kansas, that he knew them, and that they were ing from Dallasto Kaufman. He says that e rt acknowledged there have been 149 men killed in Kansas. [It does not seem from the in- telligence yet received that Mivon had anything to do with ‘the murders as an accessory fore the fact, but it would appear that he in some manner got into their contidence afterward, and buried in his bosom the dreadful secrets re- vealed. When he did make them public, and found that the eye of suspicion was fastened upon bim, and that a United States detective was watching him, and would not let him ft off at Caddo, and that he was even suspected of per one of the Benders, despair seized him rashly took his own life. The circum- stances were that the prisoner was seated in the passenger car. It was not known to the United States detective, who was dogging his every step and einen | all his motions, that he had @ weapon concealed on his person.
