THE PARDON oF Brown, who was convicted of repeating at the Pennsylvania election, was recommended by all the Jurors in his case and a number of prominent citizens of Philadelphia. Brown, it will be remembered, was convicted in the United States court in Philadelphia and sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment.
